Indeed that all the prophets and their honorable companions were competing among themselves, whoever of them is most loved and nearest to the Lord. In confirming to the word of Allah the Most High: {they seek (Al-Waseela) the means of access to their Lord — whoever of them is nearest — and they hope for His mercy and fear His chastisement.
